Endless Birdwatching

I'm still trying to make it through A Birdwatcher's Guide to Cornish Ghosts. I've been hoping it will grow on me, but 60,000 words in, I think I can say that it is just not my thing. On the other hand, having read this far, it would be a shame not to finish. Besides, I've already picked out a pretty bird photo for my bingo card. Sigh.

Oh that's a shame — it's one of my favourites, as a comfort read. What do you think is making it not your thing?

I'd say too that can't-finish fics/books still count for a Bingo square — although I also sympathise with the I've-got-this-far-so-it-would-be-a-shame element, I'm a bit like that too, although I'm getting better at giving up! *g*
