I love this fic so much that, a couple of years ago, I read it aloud to my mother as an example of what good fanfic can be like. It's an episodic story with a lot of excellent historical detail and good characterization of both our heroes. (Illya is not quite as I see him portrayed in canon, but only in one particular.) 32,445 words. NS/IK slash.
