Million-Word Challenge: P is for Portman Square

Well, I seem to have finished the first half of my million-word challenge, and it's only the middle of February. Maybe I will be able to read two million words this year. We'll see.

Over the past couple of days, I've read three fics that I'm not going to write up, all starting with X and worth 1, 1, and 3 points. (As before, if you are overpoweringly curious about why I'm keeping mum about these, send me a private message.)

I also read Portman Square by afterism, which is genderswap fic based on the Raffles series. I found that making Raffles and Bunny women made the story's premise work even better. It is easier to understand their resorting to burglary in light of how few other options their society allowed them. The femslash was effective, too. (I always feel guilty that I don't read more femslash. It makes me feel like a bad lesbian.) 5,933 words. Lady!Raffles/Lady!Bunny femslash. Particularly recommended.
