Speedboat Not Floated

The series Miami Vice has similarities to several other things I like, and I've been idly curious about it for quite a while. A few days ago, I decided finally to check it out. Since then, I've watched three episodes: the series opener and the two episodes with highest ratings on IMDB. I think that's all I'm going to watch, though. What I saw was okay, but it just didn't float my boat. In action shows, I tune in for the connection between (or among) the heroes as much as for the plot or the car chases, and that felt lacking in Miami Vice.
