Not sure how we got here, but WIPs is the common usage when abbreviating. I think 'Work in Progresses' might still raise a few eyebrows!
Things have to evolve or we'd still be talking about 'cellos and 'buses.
It took me a while to evolve a comfortable style, mine is third person, but that's just me (I find it awkward to write 'I' when what 'I' am doing is clicking away at a computer and what my protagonist is doing is dismantling an atom bomb (in a bowling ball). Possibly further evidence of my limited imagination 😊
Apols if this is teaching you to suck eggs (a thing which gets up my nose) but are you aware of picowrimo - it's a fixture of November, and is great for motivation and support - just wish I had time to join in. Work has been ridiculous.
