Now and then I wonder what it means that Man from U.N.C.L.E. fandom goes all out for Halloween and Professionals fandom for Christmas.

Lol - possibly that MUNCLE is based in the USA, which goes all out for halloween, and Pros is based in the UK, which doesn't do halloween so much, and doesn't have US Thanksgiving in the middle, but has Christmas as the traditional get-together? Or am I being way way too practical? *vbg*

No, that sounds good. I'd considered the characteristics of the shows themselves, the countries where the fandoms originate, and the favorite holidays of prominent fans. I do think the characteristics of the shows probably play some role. It's a lot easier to incorporate Halloween set pieces into MUNCLE fic. Want to write a story where Illya and Napoleon encounter a vampire cosplayer who lives in a castle and plans to use technology to control all the world's bats? Well, you can't, because that's canon, but anything along those lines would fit right in.

...or the story when Illya and Napoleon do battle with voodoo magic and the undead on a faraway Caribbean island?

I'm less familiar with Pros, though I'm sure there must be a more Christmassy episode than the Jingle Bells Affair ;-)

Pros doesn't actually have any holiday episodes. I'm not sure which one I might nominate as most naturally Christmassy, either. Maybe I'll make a post to see what other fans think about it.
